Unzip your download to your computer's system folder. In most cases
the system folder is C:\WINNT\System32\ or
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ . It's important that the files are copied
into this folder so the IPF Service can find the IPF.ini file.
To install the IPF Service, click the
IPF-setup shortcut.
Optional: Or, if you prefer to run the setup command yourself, run cmd.exe and at the command prompt enter
these commands
(here we assume your system folder is
C:\WINNT\system32\):
cd c:\WINNT\system32
IPF
-install
And you're done!
On each line, add one IP/port to IP/port mapping. Leave as much
whitespace/tabs/newlines as you need to keep it clean and easy to
read. Save the file changes.
Example IPF.ini configuration file
showing simple from-to "IP port IP port" mapping
Example on line one:
Listen on IP 64.66.19.16 port 8080
Forward to IP 207.7.103.16 port 8080

It's a good idea to
run IPF in Console Mode the first time to ensure your
configuration mappings are correct and working as expected.
Click on
IPF-ConsoleMode shortcut to start IPF in Console Mode.
Close the window or logoff to exit IPF.
Optional: Or, if you prefer to
run the command yourself, run IPF
-console .
IPF Console Mode
visually monitors traffic as long as your session remains logged
onto the computer. If your configuration is active you should see
a display similar to the illustration below. There is
no doubt traffic flows as configured, as expected, and FAST!

Using IPF as a
Windows system service lets it run in the background automatically
and invisibly.
You probably have a
working familiarity with the Windows Services control manager,
under Administrative Tools and Services, or Computer Management in
the Services tree. IPF is installed as an Automatic Startup
Type service, but you can change this as needed.
To start the IPF
Service, highlight IP/port Forwarder service in the list, and
click the Start ("right pointing triangle", or "play") button at
the top of the Services list, or right-click the IP/port Forwarder
service in the list and select Start. That's it!

IPF will not crash or stop
unexpectedly, guaranteed! If you provide
reproducible proof that IPF fails you, we'll refund your full
purchase price and you can use IPF for free! Alternatively, at
your option, we'll provide a product update to fix the problem.
